Sweet rally: Bulldogs come from behind on cake auction night

HAMPTON – Nothing could be sweeter.
Hampton-Dumont’s boys basketball team rallied from being down by as much as 10 points to post a 55-44 come-from-behind win over non-conference foe Charles City on its cake auction night.
Down 35-31 heading into the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs outscored the Comets 24-9 in the final eight minutes to win their fifth straight on Tuesday, Jan. 13.
“We had to come back, which was unfortunate,” Hampton-Dumont coach Heath Walton said....
