The Harriman-Nielsen Historic Farm played host to some long-distance travelers June 26 when descendants of former resident Henry Skow stopped in Hampton.
Tom and Elfie Sundberg and the couple’s son and daughter-in-law, Ian and Najah, visited the farm while in the area researching their family’s history. Tom is the great-grandson of Skow and Ian is his great-great-grandson. Tom and Elfie also visited the farm in 2004 with other family members.
The Sundbergs live in Charlotte, N.C. According to Franklin County Historical Society member Doreen Petersen, the family took a lot of photos during their visit and noticed many improvements to the property.
