WAVERLY – Hampton-Dumont’s cross country team competed in a loaded field at the Dick Pollitt Invitational hosted by Waverly-Shell Rock on the campus of Wartburg College on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
The meet, which runs a race for each grade among girls and boys while scoring by each grade and cumulatively, saw the Bulldogs finish 17th (girls) and 23rd (boys).
Patty Teggatz grabbed the top individual finish for H-D, earning the only medal for the Bulldogs with a seventh place finish in 22 minutes, 30 seconds, one of the season bests had by the team.
