Sandee’s Flower House changing hands next month

Longtime Hampton businesswoman Sandee Brouwer has sold her flower and gift shop after nearly four decades of ownership.
     “I loved doing this kind of work and I love working with people,” said Brouwer. “I have been very fortunate to find a job that I love to go to work everyday.”
     Brouwer opened Sandee’s Flower House in the mid-1970s after quitting her bank job and attending floriculture school at Kirkwood Community College. She always had a greenthumb and loved making flower arrangements as a kid, so she thought it was something to pursue further.
     After purchasing a duplex along Highway 65 and completing renovations, Brouwer opened the business and began her new career.
