HAMPTON – A series of three three-pointers in the third quarter for junior Alex Sackville turned a close game into a big win for the Hampton-Dumont boys basketball team over Clarion-Goldfield, 55-37 on Friday.
The Bulldogs were holding onto a 33-32 advantage when Sackville came off of the bench to bury all three of his treys in a two-minute span as H-D built a 44-31 lead.
“Alex played a great game,” H-D head coach Heath Walton said. “We don’t win tonight probably without Alex playing like he did.”
