HAMPTON – It is a fun feeling for Hampton-Dumont’s Shelby Tidman knowing once she’s on the base paths, she is virtually impossible to catch.

The speedy junior wreaked havoc on all four trips on the bags as the Bulldogs routed North Central Conference rival Clear Lake 11-1 in five innings on Wednesday, June 11.

“It’s kind of fun being able to run the bases and teams not being able to catch you and stuff,” Tidman said, “but there was one where I could have made it home and I kind of second-guessed myself. I should have (made it), but it’s fun being able to run and no one can catch me.”
