Rosenberg gets landslide win over Hansen in H-D school board election

The only contested seat in the Hampton-Dumont Community School District Board of Education election has unofficially been won by challenger Jeff Rosenberg, who defeated incumbent Jennifer Hansen by an unofficial tally of 410 votes to 67 votes. 

Franklin County Auditor Michelle Giddings' unofficial count had Rosenberg receiving 375 votes from Hampton voters and 24 votes from Dumont voters. Hansen received a mere five votes in Dumont and only 56 votes from Hampton voters. Each candidate also had absentee ballots cast for them: 11 for Rosenberg and six for Hansen.

Two other incumbents who were running uncontested won re-election: Thomas Brolsma with 384 votes and Chad Hanson with 388 votes. There were also 18 write-in votes cast in the Hampton precinct for unknown candidates.
