Perry touts executive ex-perience during Hampton stop

Advocating a rollback in federal authority, Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry visited Franklin County Monday afternoon and addressed a packed house at the Rustic Brew in Hampton.
     The former Texas governor discussed his campaign platform and fielded questions from the audience during the visit. Perry detailed his plan for America, which relied heavily on reducing the power of the federal government and giving it back to states.
     “Government can either get in the way and be an impediment, or it can help lower hurdles,” he said.
