North Butler softball claims its own tourney title over Hampton-Dumont

ALLISON – North Butler stopped a five-game win streak for Hampton-Dumont in claiming its own softball tournament title on Saturday, June 18 at the Allison bal fields.
The Bearcats used a strong and fresh Taylor Graven, who struck out 13 Bulldogs to stake a claim in a 5-0 win over H-D in the title game.
She helped her own cause by going 2-for-3 and got a big two-run homer from her battery mate Nicole Heeren in the sixth that sealed it.
“Our bottom of our lineup produced for hitting,” North Butler coach Jeff Stirling said....
