North Butler rests ace, falls to No. 1 AGWSR

ACKLEY – Anticipating seeing them again in the post-season, North Butler chose to not throw ace Taylor Graven against the top-ranked Cougar softball team on Tuesday, June 9.
Needless to say, it was a little disappointing for AGWSR co-coach Scott O’Brien in his team’s eventual 12-4 win over the Bearcats.
“Oh, a little disappointed? Yeah,” O’Brien said. “Let’s put it this way, considering who we saw, yes, it was disappointing. It’s just a little difficult to stay focused and get up when you face pitching like that...."
