GREENE – Trailing by 12 entering the fourth quarter, North Butler found a way to overcome the deficit and top the Hampton-Dumont boys basketball team on Saturday afternoon, 55-53.

Reid Lammers hit three 3-pointers, including one that tied the score at 51 with 1 minute, 23 seconds to go and Shaylon Lahr hit 4-of-6 free throws in the final minute to seal it for the Bearcats.

“Shots were falling for us finally,” North Butler coach Dave Brown said. “For three quarters, we’re shooting, we’re taking good shots, they just weren’t going in the bucket. The fourth quarter, shots started to fall and it makes it easier on you when you get the ball to go in the bucket.”

The Bulldogs committed seven turnovers in the final eight minutes, including a charging foul and a big jump ball call with a minute left as North Butler held H-D to just eight points in the final quarter.
