Nomination papers trickling in for local city elections

     City council candidates have less than two weeks to file proper paperwork and get their names on the Nov. 3 general election ballot.
     As of Friday afternoon, a total of 13 candidates had filed paperwork to run for office in one of Franklin County’s eight incorporated cities. Interested citizens have until Sept. 17 at 5 p.m. to file proper forms with the county auditor. All candidates must complete notarized affidavits of candidacy and nomination petitions before filing.
