No Democrats file for June primary

With Brent J. Symens’ filing for county attorney last week, the Franklin County ballot was set for the June 3 primary. No Democrats filed nomination papers for local offices.

     Franklin County voters will see two contested races on the Republican ticket this summer. Gary McVicker, Hampton, filed nomination papers for Supervisor District 2 and will challenge incumbent Jerry Plagge, Latimer. Additionally, Cindy Dirksen, Hampton, filed nomination papers for county treasurer and will contest incumbent Chad Murray, Hampton.

     A total of seven candidates filed in Franklin County. Incumbent District 1 Supervisor Mike Nolte, incumbent county Recorder Toni Wilkinson, and Symens will all run unopposed.
