The West Fork football team ran into a buzzsaw Friday night in Sheffield, falling to fifth-ranked Garner-Hayfield/Ventura 59-0.
The visiting Cardinals (3-0) dominated the Warhawks on both sides of the ball throughout the entire game, and West Fork mustered only 91 yards of total offense on the night. G-H/V racked up 315 yards on the ground and punted only twice. West Fork was the third-straight team the Cardinals held scoreless this season.
“The scoreboard doesn’t show it, but we made them drive on us,” said Warhawk head coach Rodney Huber. “I think we played hard throughout, which is something I wanted to see. G-H/V is a good team.”
