NEW Coop looks to add feed mill to Rowan facility

    If all goes well, Fort Dodge based NEW Cooperative will be turning ground on a new feed mill at its rural Rowan facility.
    The mill, which would be located south of its current facility, would create 18 new jobs for the company.
    “They are preparing to make an investment of up to $25 million dollars,” FCDA Executive Director Karen Mitchell said. “The plant would go on 10 acres of additional ground just to the south of their new facility.”
    Once completed, the mill would be able to produce 400,000 tons of feed annually.
