Muhlenbruck reflects on 35 years as city clerk

Long time Latimer City Clerk Judy Muhlenbruck has decided to hang it up after more than three decades of service.
     “I told my friends that I would know when the time was right,” she said. “And a couple weeks ago, I just knew it. I just decided it was time to do something else.”
     Muhlenbruck took over the city’s accounting duties in May 1979. Back then, she was headquartered at home and did all of her work from the kitchen table. However, the job became more structured as the years went by. Computers grew in popularity, paperwork became more plentiful, and state regulations were strengthened.
