Midwest Meter – owned by Rick & Julie Salvesen - donated $5,000 to the Hampton Public Library to improve the library’s book budget for the Fiscal Year 13/14.  The Hampton Public Library has been in the news recently because of their diminishing book budget and the effects this has on the citizens of Hampton and Franklin County who love to read and are lifelong learners.

Of course in a public library setting, the customers range in age from 1 month to 99-years-old.  A declining book budget such as the library had before Midwest Meter’s donation most affects the very young children as well as the adult customers because neither have access to a school library.
