Mason to renew college search

HAMPTON – Nine weeks ago, Hampton-Dumont senior Madison Mason thought she had finalized her future college plans when she signed to play softball at AIB.
Last week, that all changed when the Des Moines’ NAIA college announced it was gifting itself to the University of Iowa, most certainly getting rid of its athletic programs.
Mason said she had heard nothing from the school, even after she and her parents contacted them with their concerns.
“So, at this point in time we don’t know what to expect,” Mason said...
