A man residing in Hampton has been sentenced for documentation fraud.
United States District Court Judge Linda R. Reade sentenced Emmanuel Santos-Diaz, 34, to 73 days in federal prison after pleading guilty to one count of unlawful use of identification documents and one count of illegal reentry into the United States.
A release from the U.S. Department of Justice said Santos-Diaz, a citizen of Mexico, was deported in Feb. of 2003 and reentered the country without the permission of the United States government. He admitted to using a fraudulent Social Security card and a fraudulent green card when he completed an employment form on March 2015 to work at a business in Clear Lake.
