LATIMER – When the heavens opened up, creating at least four big mud puddles on the CAL Community soccer field, it opened things up for the Cadets.
CAL/H-D/B-K’s boys’ soccer team had played Humboldt to a scoreless deadlock through the first 23 minutes before heavy rain, and eventually, lightning forced a 30-minute delay.
After that, the goal opened up for coach Steve Winsor’s team in an eventual 5-2 win over the Wildcats.
