Making a mark: Willems, Jones adjusting to college game

IOWA FALLS – NIACC freshman Mandy Willems has already made an impression for the No. 10-ranked Trojans.
After pouring in 45 points in only her second college game ever, earning her National Junior College Player of the Week honors, she turned around and scored 23 points close to home at the Dale Howard Classic in Iowa Falls on Friday, Nov. 9.
Willems says the awards she earned has definitely drawn some attention from all over.
“There’s been a lot of people on campus just coming up to me and saying, ‘hey, good job!’” Willems said, “and just congratulating me on the honors, so it’s pretty cool to talk to everyone about it..."
