Mahlon Miller announces candidacy in Hampton Mayoral race in 2018

Hampton-Dumont senior Mahlon Miller, 18, Hampton, has announced his candidacy for Mayor of Hampton in the 2018 election, ahead of his graduation in 2017.
Miller is a member of the H-D High School student government, as well as a participant in speech club, specifically, individual improvisation and spontaneous speaking.
Miller is oldest of seven siblings, and grew up in the unincorporated town of Amber, outside of Anamosa. When he was in seventh grade, he moved to Hampton and attended H-D Middle School. He intends to stay in Hampton after his graduation and will attend Ellsworth Community College, where he will study marketing.
