Letter to the Editor: Reader worried about slippery slope following SCOTUS marriage ruling

Letter to the Editor:
 
    The Supreme Court just passed judgment on all Christians! While the minority of persons in this country may desire same sex marriage, the majority doesn’t. God still does not, and I agree with God. I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. 
    People have always had the right to choose sexual lives contrary to the Bible. But, God called it sin. The Supreme Court’s decision has done immense damage and has done nothing more than create a hate law against all Bible-believing Christians. Make no mistake: God forgives a repentant heart, but He never compromises His word. He said no to same gender relations and He meant it.
    Lev. 18:22 – “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.” If the Supreme Court says 22 is OK, shall we assume that verse 23 will be OK soon?
    Lev. 20:13 “If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their blood guiltiness is upon them.”
    How much clearer does the Bible have to be on same sex marriage? “Abomination…destestable!”
    Now, how long do you think it will take before the Supreme Court will remove “In God We Trust” and ban “God Bless America” from every American tongue? How can we as a country even look to our Heavenly Father for favor when our supreme leaders do nothing but defy His Holy Word and we the people are doing nothing to stop it? How long before the Supreme Court votes to burn all Bibles because it doesn’t line up with their stinking thinking?
    How long before every preacher in America who is “committed to delivering the uncompromised Word of God” will find his/her license taken away for preaching the truth, or fined and jailed for refusing to perform a homosexual marriage? Homosexuals are already impacting the lives of Christian businesses who refuse to service and participate in their unions. Christian businessmen are being fined and shut down because they want to stand up for their beliefs by not participating in those unions in any way shape or form.
    And God help the Christian parent who desires to teach their children that God says it is a sin will find themselves fined, jailed or in prison! We are on that road, people!
    Creating new laws to grant approval of same sex relations will never negate God’s Word. I John 1:8-10: “If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”
    Deception is a dangerous road. Our president suggests that love has won, but God says no. So who is the real liar?
    This is truly a sad day for America. The Good News for the uncompromised Christian ‒God is the supreme authority sitting on the throne who judges even churches that choose to water down the gospel in the name of tolerance. Look to the gospels to see that our Lord died rather than tolerate sin.
    It is my intent to contact each judge. Will you? As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
