Letter to the Editor

Campaign bits and pieces

To the editor:

Who is Bruce Braley?

First he tried to say he’s a farmer because he worked in a co-op elevator and drove a truck!

The Braley indicates farmers aren’t worth the stuff they scoop because they haven’t been to law school and don’t have a law degree! That’s about all we need – another lawyer in the senate!

I live in a place where being pro-life is radical thinking!

I live in a place where the federal government (Obama) is telling me that I have to buy insurance; that used to be my freedom. I have lost some of my freedom. What will be lost next?

Why don’t Obama and his cronies have to buy insurance? Why are they exempt?

Where is the money coming from that the Democrats, in the Senate, are spending against Joni Ernst? No wonder they never want to balance their budget! I hope, being a taxpayer, I’m not paying for them.

The oil that would be flowing through the Keystone Pipeline is very, very ‘dirty’ oil. There is so much ‘sludge’ in it that toxic additions have to be made – just to make it flow. So what will happen to that ‘sludge’ once the oil we need is extracted? And what will it have done to the pipeline?

If minimum wage is raised to $10 per hour I believe people will be laid off because employers will have to cut their workforce and the price of goods and services will go up. So what will have been gained?

How many terrorists are coming through the Mexico and USA border?
