Letter to the Editor

To the editor: I would like to commend highly those responsible for organizing work groups who helped senior members of the community on the Friday of Homecoming. I was the recipient of much help from four young men and their teacher, Dan Aalbers, who washed my windows, cut down and loaded up the hydrangea bushes and power washed my patio.
Instead of TP-ing the town with toilet paper, what a joyful sight it was to see our community neat and clean and knowing of the help all of the young people gave. Our Senior Center is cleaner because young people washed all of the chairs. These are just two of the incidents I am aware of, but know there were many others.
