Reader upset with King’s work ethic, inability to solve problems
Letter to the editor
For the past few weeks, our 4th District Congressional Representative, Steve King, has been heavily featured in the national news. His distractions regarding people in general have been a distraction, and, frankly, a blemish on the people of Iowa he supposedly represents. So, what is it that Steve King does to represent the needs of his constituents in Iowa?
The answer to this is very little.
Steve King has been our representative to Congress since 2003. In 13 years, he has produced nothing to improve or uphold the lives of Iowans. In August 2015, he was deemed the least effective member of Congress due to his persistent failure to get legislation out of committees.
As Iowans, we pride ourselves on our work ethic, our ability to solve problems, to get things done. Steve King has failed in all of these. I question his ability to represent the 4th District in Iowa. He spends time speaking in Europe, talking to TV commentators, but does nothing to improve the lives of those living in the 4th District in Iowa. It’s time to change.
