Late rally falls shy on Senior Night

HAMPTON – Trailing 10-2 entering the bottom of the seventh inning, the Hampton-Dumont softball team nearly pulled off an amazing rally in an attempt to send its two seniors out with a win.
However, the Bulldogs fell just short with the tying run on third base in a 10-9 loss to Rockford on Thursday, July 2.
During that rally, senior Shelby Tidman had one of her signature slap bunt hits that drove in one of the runs during the seventh.
