La Luz takes over Creative Clovers leadership

La Luz Hispana has announced that it will take over leadership of Creative Clovers, a 4-H group for Latino children.
Creative Clovers originally began in 2014 and at one point was the largest Latin 4-H club in Iowa. The club has been without a dedicated leader for at least the last year and participation has declined significantly. Now the Franklin County Iowa State University Extension Office and La Luz are determined to bring it back to its status as a prominent 4-H group in not only the county, but the entire state.
“We thought this was a great idea,” said La Luz Director Claudia Rivera. “We’ve been trying to reach out to the Latino youth in Hampton and we want to make sure we include them when we are doing programming and the activities we try to do here.”
