HAMPTON – The final hole of the day for Justin Kent proved the difference between earning a medal and finishing in a tie for third in H-D boys home golf invitational on Saturday, May 6.
The senior No. 1 golfer for the Bulldogs had the low score after the first round with 41, but on hole No. 9, he went out of bounds and three-putted to finish with an eight on that hole and a 47 on the second nine for 88.
It was what H-D boys coach Jane Hoegh called ‘crushing.’
The entire story appears in the May 10 print and online editions of the Hampton Chronicle.
