HAMPTON – Recently Class 1A No. 2-ranked West Fork’s girls have a reputation to uphold.
It did so at the Hampton-Dumont Invitational on Thursday, Oct. 1 at Maynes Grove with all five of the Warhawks’ scorers finishing among the top-15 to win a meet that included 10 teams.
Coach Mark Twedt’s team included the individual runner-up, third place, fifth- and seventh-place finishers among the top-10 and its final scorer came in at 15th to score 32 points and edge Class 2A second-ranked Osage.
“I haven’t seen all of the times, but as long as we have got McKenna (Weaver) and Talia (Rowe) and Maya (Rowe and (Maddison) Shupe and Cailey (Weaver) moving up, that’s what we’ve got,” Twedt said....
