IF-A ends Bulldogs’ season

IOWA FALLS – In a game of adjustments, Iowa Falls-Alden made the right ones early in taking an eventual 49-38 Class 3A Region 2 opening win over Hampton-Dumont.
The Bulldogs led 10-7 and didn’t relinquish their initial lead until 1 minute, 7 seconds to go in the first quarter, but after that, the Cadet girls’ basketball team had lit for itself a fire in a 10-0 run.
“I think they made adjustments and I didn’t make adjustments to their defense earlier enough,” H-D coach Miranda Valley said. “They got on fire. We needed to get on (Darby) Dodd and she came out on fire scored a quick 12 in the first half and then we held her to 14..."
