HAMPTON – With the very first batter, Humboldt came to Hampton-Dumont’s softball field with its hitting shoes on.
The Wildcats recorded two hits in the first inning, although the Bulldogs escaped that inning without any damage, it was only a matter of time before they poured it on against H-D on Wednesday, June 3.
Before it was over, Humboldt had collected 12 hits, keyed on the Bulldogs’ errors and as well as a pair of walks and a hit batter to take the 14-4 win in a complete game.
