Hampton woman travels the world with Lions Club

Judy Hankom isn’t quite sure how many thousands of miles she’s traveled during the past two years, but she knows it’s a lot.

     “I wish I would have kept track,” said the Hampton woman. “It would have been interesting to see the final number after it was all said and done.”

     Hankom just wrapped up a two-year stint as an International Director of Lions Clubs International. She traveled the world attending various club meetings and conventions, which focused on membership growth and retention in addition to many other topics. Her globetrotting commitment took here all the way to Korea, Australia and Colombia, as well as many cities across the United States and North America.

     All told, Hankom attended 34 Lions Club conventions during the past two years.
