A Hampton staple will soon fill a vacant space in the city’s downtown.
Construction crews last Thursday broke ground on the lot at the corner of First Street NW and First Avenue NW that will hold the new Hampton Dental office. The practice is currently located at 27 Federal St. North.
Dr. Jake Sorensen with Hampton Dental said the reason for the move is simply because the practice has outgrown its current space.
“We want to be able to continue to grow and provide our patients with a nice, comfortable facility,” he said, “and also our employees need more space and a modern building.”
Once completed, the new office will be 3300 square feet with an adjacent parking lot. The building will be fully ADA accessible, have a large waiting room with a kids’ area, large operatories and a staff lounge.
