Hampton resident, Clark, and FGH’s, Root, land on list of ‘100 Great Iowa Nurses’
Nurses selected for the honor of the 100 Great Iowa Nurses represent many sectors of health care, including hospitals, long-term care facilities and school and office nurses. These exemplary nurses are selected based on their concern for humanity, their contribution to the community and to the nursing profession, their leadership, and their mentoring.
The 13th annual celebration of 100 Great Iowa Nurses will be held May 7 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines. The 100 honorees represent 39 counties and were selected from a pool of 400 nominees.

The list of 100 Great Iowa Nurses was recently released, and one of Hampton’s own made the cut.
Jill Clark, a nurse for 31 years, works at the Mason City Surgery Center and lives in Hampton was named to the annual list.
“I just feel so blessed to be chosen,” Clark said.
