HAMPTON – Two nights after falling in a double overtime game against conference rival Iowa Falls-Alden, the Bulldogs got back on the winning track with a 57-45 non-conference win over Rockford.

Balance was key for Hampton-Dumont against the Warriors as four players finished in double figures scoring, including 13 each for Charlie Flickinger and Cole Miller and 11 apiece for Levi Pratt and Parker Claypool.

After coming up with three steals against the Cadets, Pratt had another big night defensively with four steals in the win over the Warriors. He leads the North Central Conference in steals with 22.

“Some of our frustrations, I think, just held over to this one,” Pratt said. “We wanted last (game) so bad that we wanted to get back.

“We wanted to take care of the basketball and coach said, ‘do what you do well,’ and that’s what we were out for.”
