HAMPTON – Cole Miller’s start definitely was not an indicator of what was to come.
He began the Wednesday, June 17 North Central Conference baseball game against Algona giving up a hit, balked and walking a batter after a 5-4-5 fielder’s choice gained his first out.
The Bulldog graduate then proceeded to strike out the next two batters he faced.
And then Cole Miller struck out a whole lot more – 15 to be exact – in an eventual 6-2 victory for then-No. 9 Hampton-Dumont over Algona.
More on this story will be found in the June 24 print and online editions of the Hampton Chronicle.
