HAMPTON – It took a half, but the Hampton-Dumont girls basketball team squelched any thought Humboldt had of handing the Bulldogs their first loss.

H-D (2-0) trailed much of the first half until a pair of Jordan Prantner free throws put the Bulldogs ahead 19-18 at the break and they never trailed again in a 50-36 victory on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

“We fronted the high post,” H-D coach Chad Johnson said of the team’s adjustments at halftime. “We passed better offensively in the second half.”
