Doubles: No. 1 – Bolerjack-Levad (H-D) def. Rodriguez-Johnson 7-5, 6-4; No. 2 – Peters-Newell (MC) def. Buck-Plagge 7-5, 7-6 (7-5), 12-10 tiebreak; No. 3 – Dunbar-Lemke (MC) def. Christiansen-Spradlin 6-4, 6-4.

JV Doubles: No. 4 – Shaylin-Beyer-Caitlyn Freese (H-D def. Woolery-Francis 6-2, 6-3; No. 5 – Gabbie Tielke-Bella Siems (H-D) def. Schott-Florman 6-0; No. 6 – Lindsay-Lindsey (MC) def. Cate Meader-Ashley Ramirez 7-6 (7-5).

 

MASON CITY – Hampton-Dumont’s second-year girls tennis team nearly earned its first team win ever in a close 5-4 loss at Mason City on Monday, April 21.

The Bulldogs earned singles wins from Brittany Bolerjack, Alysa Buck and Brooklyn Plagge at Nos 1, 3 and 4 and both Bolerjack and Athena Levad teamed up to win at No. 1 doubles against the Mohawks’ varsity.
