H-D finishes fifth in sectional

HAMPTON – Although two Hampton-Dumont boys golfers recorded personal bests for nine and 18 holes in the Class 2A sectional meet on Friday, May 12, it wasn’t enough to advance to the district.
Junior Quinn Logan improved his second round score of 46 with a 44 to card 90, an 18-hole best for him by 19 strokes.
It also landed him eighth overall and a stroke off of advancing to the district meet this Friday.
“I know he was probably disappointed,” H-D coach Jane Hoegh said. “He was (one) stroke away from moving on, but what a great incentive for next year.”
