HAMPTON – Still beaming only moments after being lifted up on the shoulders of his players to celebrate his 100th career victory, Hampton-Dumont coach Jerry Shafrath described what it meant for the milestone to come against rival Clear Lake.
“Probably the best you could have,” Shafrath said. “I think when you look back when it’s all over and done, the stories...you talk about (win) No. 99 for 16 years. (And we go) all the way to (the year) 2015.
“Great win, our kids played hard, focused and never let up. I’m proud of them, for what we’ve been through and for them to come back, awesome win for us."
