Basketball players from Hampton-Dumont and West Fork came together on Saturday, January 21 to raise money for cancer research in a day of Coaches vs. Cancer charity games.
"It's actually pretty easy to put together," said organizer Heather Holm, who has organized the event for eight years.
With a fundraising goal of $15,000 for the American Cancer Society, students from all levels played throughout the day to entertain basketball fans and raise money through free throw donations.
In addition to the games, audiences were invited to take part in a silent auction for a variety of donated items. This year's collection of auction items included basketball tickets, a Green Bay Packers football, and a jersey from local basketball star Seth Tuttle.
