HAMPTON – Jerry Shafrath’s first football class wants to set the tone for the Dog Pound Paver Project.

The 1994 Bulldogs, who earned the first win for Shafrath at H-D 20 years ago donated $5,000 toward the fund-raiser, which will help fund a building at the south end of the stadium that will renovate the restrooms, concession stand and ticket booth.

A member of that team, John A. Bobst, who has coached at Iowa City West and Regina, along with all of the teammates from that successful squad wanted to get funds for the project rolling.

“We put it back to the fund-raiser that we would love for someone to beat (the donation),” Bobst said. “If we set the bar, so be it.”
