H-D’s Chipp to make state debut

PARKERSBURG – Hampton-Dumont 182-pound senior Logan Chipp earned a state berth by virtue of winning his opening match in the Class 2A district meet at Aplington-Parkersburg on Saturday, Feb. 13.
Chipp won by 12-0 major decision over South Tama County’s Dalton Rosenburg, who won his consolation match, which prompted no wrestleback and the state berth for the Bulldog wrestler.
He had lost by fall in the championship match to Roland-Story’s Sam Mathis, who was the top seed in the district.
