Growing, pains: Virtually whole new team giving up big innings in early season

HAMPTON – Matt Lokenvitz knows the situation.
When he saw 11 graduate – mostly starters – from the 2015 team that set school marks by starting the season 10-0, he expected some growing pains.
The onset of the 2016 campaign has brought three games and one big inning in each of them, including the Wednesday, June 1 home opener against Webster City that has his team starting with an 0-3 record.
