Grassley fields H-D students’ questions during annual visit

Local students picked the brain of a six-term U.S. senator Friday afternoon during a special event at Hampton-Dumont High School.
     Sen. Chuck Grassley addressed a packed gymnasium and fielded questions on topics ranging from Donald Trump to terrorism. Grassley said he enjoyed meeting with students and believed it was a unique opportunity for them to get involved in the political process.
     “I would hope you’d rather help govern than be governed,” he said.
     One of the first questions asked Grassley whether he supported legalizing marijuana.
