FGH to debut new recordkeeping system next week
 
     Staff members at Franklin General Hospital are buzzing with excitement this week in anticipation of an event more than a year in the making.
     No, not the Centennial celebration.
     On Sept. 14, FGH and Franklin Medical Center will switch over to a new electronic health records system at the four clinics and hospital in Hampton. The change will streamline internal recordkeeping and create new opportunities for patients with speedy chart updates and improved access to information.
     According to FGH CEO Kim Price, staff members have been training on the new system extensively to make the transition as smooth as possible.
