Nov. 3 city election features contested races in 3 Franklin County towns
 
     Local city residents are encouraged to fulfill their civic duty next week by hitting the polls during the Nov. 3 election.
     Voters will pick from a list of various mayor and council candidates when they receive their ballots. Only three Franklin County cities – Latimer, Sheffield and Geneva – have contested races this year. All other communities feature unopposed races with many incumbents vying for another term.
     Franklin County Auditor Michelle Giddings expects relatively low voter turnout next week. There are no federal or state-level offices up for election this year, which typically hinders participation.
