Garcia boots free kick to win OT tilt over Webster City

HAMPTON – Jonathan Garcia was only doing what he was told.
He was given the opportunity for a free kick with time winding down in overtime against Webster City at Hampton-Dumont field and he sent the ball floating around and into the back of the net for the Bulldogs to score a 3-2 upset win over the Lynx on Monday, May 13.
His teammate Jace Spurgeon told him to go ahead and kick it in. So, he did.
“I felt like I could do it,” Garcia said of the winning goal. “I’ve been practicing for that..."
