Fundraising campaign underway for Windsor Theatre upgrades

A new endowment fund hopes to raise a significant amount of capital for improvements at a local historic landmark.
     The Windsor Theater Development Corporation recently established the Windsor Theatre Endowment Fund with the help of two regional betterment foundations. It allows the group to use tax-deductible donations to establish a special savings account that collects interest over time, which will eventually be used for specific purposes like building restorations and other needs.
     “We left it kind of open-
ended just in case something else might come up, but we created it more for the building because it’s 100 years old,” said theater manager Jim Davies. “We’re excited about it.”
